Towards a Tobacco- and Nicotine-Free Switzerland
Our goal is a healthy and smoke-free Switzerland. We at the Swiss Association for Tobacco Control offer effective support to the population in combating and preventing tobacco addiction.
Protecting Children and Youth from the Tobacco Industry
Help us pave the way for a healthier future for our children and youth without tobacco and nicotine.
With your generous donation of CHF 40, for example, or an individually chosen amount, we can continue to work intensively to expose the harmful influences of the tobacco industry on our health.
Through the Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index, we have already revealed hidden industry schemes and informed our policymakers how to counter them.
Your support allows us to continue sifting through industry papers, maintaining contact with journalists and politicians, and protecting children and youth from the influence of tobacco advertising.
Together Against Deceptive Labels on E-Cigarette Packaging
We can uncover the true dangers of tobacco products and e-cigarettes with your help.
Your donation of CHF 80, for example, or an individually chosen amount, supports research and helps expose misleading labels. Your contribution plays a crucial role in protecting public health.
Our investigations revealed: Heavy metals are present in e-cigarettes and the packaging labels show significant differences between what is stated on the packaging and what e-cigarettes actually contain.
Currently, we are using financial reserves to enable important research on tobacco products and e-cigarettes in Switzerland.
Eliminating Harmful Second-hand Smoke from Society
Despite the long-standing ban on smoking in public places, second-hand smoke remains an issue.
According to the Swiss Monitoring System of Addiction and Non-Communicable Diseases (MonAM), 1 in 5 people in Switzerland is exposed to second-hand smoke for at least one hour per week.
Especially children, the elderly, and people with pre-existing conditions suffer. Exposure to second-hand smoke increases the risk of serious respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and certain types of cancer.
Help us build an urgently needed platform that informs the public about second-hand smoke and their rights. We are currently raising money for this project. Your donation, with your freely chosen amount or CHF 120, brings us closer to our goal.
